Le Mont-Saint-Michel - France
The rain was nice for sleeping, but not for touring the Abby. On top of that, it was cool and windy.
It was nice to walk through LMSM, but I was more impressed last night with the lights. Also, I didnt get to see the water high this trip.
We made for an early departure back to Paris around 13.00. It took us until about 18.00 to get there with the traffic we hit coming into Paris.
I was trying to make the night train to Madrid at 19.45 (I had not reserved because I did not know when/if we would return in time). Carl dropped me off in the traffic and I took the metro over to the station.
After the ride on the metro and waiting in the long line it was 20 min before the train was suppose to leave. All of that to be told there were no spots left on the train to Madrid or Barcelona an hour later. I was able to reserve for the following night to BArcelona, and Carl was nice enough to take me in for one final day.
I look at it as a day earned in Paris and to relax as opposed to one lost in Spain. Although I do not plan to do much tomorrow, I can at least cathch up on things like laundry, this journal, and mailing some dead weight back home.
