Chambord - France
As you can see in the photos, we got some beer on the way haha. It is legal for the passenger to drink in France also.... just FYI lol.
The castle was huge and the details of the architecture towards the top was very enjoyable. We were short on time at this point, though, and opted not to go in (maybe we shouldnt have stopped lol). We could have spent hours inside I am sure.
We got back to Carl´s parents home in time for dinner (see Orleans photos). His mother is an excellent cook like him. Oh, and the aperitif included salted ham cut directly off the leg of the pig haha.
We loaded the back of their car with a foam layer to sleep on the next day and headed back to Paris for the night.
When we got home, we watched the opening scene from Saving Private Ryan to prepare for the following days trip to Normandy haha.
