Caen - France

Carl and I left out of Paris early for Caen. Our plans were to head over to Caen to see the memorial (WWII museum) there before we went out to the beaches.

The memorial was very informative and a good way to begin a trip out to the landing sites and cemetaries. Actually, there was almost too much information for my taste becasue you have to read SO much of it and it is not brief haha. If you want to get the most out of this place, I would suggest spending a day here and another at the beaches haha. For me, though, doing both in a day was enough time. I am glad we had the car because the guided tours here are very expensive.
