So that was a crazy night. Once again a small train delay sent me on a headache of a journey. I made it into Brussles at the time I was suppose to, it was just a hell of a lot harder to do so.
I called mom on the train and she helped me book a hostel there in Brugge. All I could think about was getting there and taking a nap when I checked in.
I had about 2 hours until I could check in. Like in Barcelona I used it to catch up online. I slept from about 10.15 to 13.00. As soon as I woke up I headed out and walked around the city.
I was able to see the Madonna and Child sculpture by Michelangelo in the Church of Our Lady and climb the Bell Tower in Market Square (the view is amazing by the way).
The thing I will remember most about the city is the amount of chocolate shops there are. I came expecting a waffle stand on every corner. There were a lot of those too, but I saw more chocolate.
I felt like I had had enough so I came back to the hostel. Apparently I haven't caught up on all my sleep. I got to call practically my entire family with the hostels wifi.
As I write I am watching the Saints gamecast on ESPN.com with my iPhone. Yeah, I'm an addict.
I am trying to decide what I will do tomorrow. I am leaning towards an early trip to A'dam to leave open the possibility of an extra stop in Germany... Maybe Berlin...
