A Fantasy Masquerade Ball
July 12, 2008
The 11th annual Ball held in the Henry Fonda Music Box Theater in Hollywood. This year I went for the Saturday night revelry with five of my friends. Next year I will likely have to organize a whole TB meet up there... so start working on your costumes!
The Labyrinth of Jareth Fantasy Masquerade Ball is a weekend of enchantment created each year as a celebration of inspiration and fantasy. Lost within the borders of chaos and light, nobles dance within the Faerie Court where legends take precious breath and dreams are born. . .

This year I went as "Fall," Ben went as a zombie lord and Mel and Jesse were both oceanic themed gods. You can either go as a fantasy element or in formal wear with a mask (as our friends Jai and Jamie did). Most of the time the "fey" also wear a mask.. mostly because its fun ! We took over 3 hours to get ready. My hair actually didnt take as long as I thought it would. Once I got the bird on to a clippy it just attached to my hair bun and the rest was shimmied through like chopsticks ! We all got lots of compliments walking down Hollywood blvd from our dinner restaurant to the ball. I really liked how they changed the patio areas and made more room for seating. Thankfully even on Sat night they keep the place fairly uncrowded. I hate clubbing and bumping into a ton of people... especially if they are wearing wings or big hats!
