It's a small world

Last time Rache and I took one of these trips, with a different tour company, we got stuck in one room with five other people (3 girls and a couple who seemed oblivious to the fact there were other people in the room) and sharing a bathroom between them and another double room. Imagine, one very tiny bathroom (with the toilet in there as well) between 9 people. That's why, this time, we decided to get our own room even if we had to share a bathroom!
We were lucky to be sharing an apartment with really cool people: Lisa and Simmo were our tour leaders, Skye was a friend of theirs, and Derek and Michael were two crazy cats we were lucky enough to have making up the numbers. And there was a toilet in the laundry as well as the bathroom.
It's amazing how small the world can be... turns out Lisa and Skye are both originally from the Central Coast as well and happen to be friends with some girls who were in the same year at school as Rachel and I. Didn't mention that Rachel and I never really liked those girls at school but, to be fair, that was like 10 years ago and people change.
The snow is pretty average at the moment, nowhere near as good as it was last year. But, on the upside, the man made snow this year is much better, thanks to the new snowguns. Some of the trails were really patchy, especially the ones around Central Spur, but they weren't too bad around The Cruiser.
