Thursday night at the Santa Monica Pier

Jenn  forwarded me the email that Doris wrote regarding Salsa night on thursday, it's going to be a dinner and dancing.First, we would have to meet up at Nikki's in Venice for a happy hour.We were all agreed to meet up  at around 6:30 pm,  so i left my apartment at exactly 6pm, enough for me to get there in half hour.I called Jenn on my cell to let her  know that i was on my way, i didnt have time to look for a metered parking so i just paid the $7.00 for parking, not bad i said to myself. Minutes later,  i was at the bar with Jenn and Doris.It was my first time meeting Doris, very smart and knows about her stuff.We had such a great time, Jenn and Doris were catching up about life and things while  i was listening to them, shared some laugh and drinks. Doris ordered  three kinds of food so Jenn and I just ate it.LOL
After dinner, Doris suggested to walk to the Pier from Venice where we ate, great idea! but it would be too far i  imagine, i would have done it but i left my car at the gated parking lot and was told that the gate will be locked up at 11pm.It was 9pm when we just finish our eating so walking to the Pier and come back will not be enough and afraid that i'm not going to be able  to pick up my car. So i decided to drive and Jenn and Doris drove together.When we reached the Pier in Santa Monica, there were  lots of people, big crowd  actually.We stayed there for a few minutes, took a couple pictures and realized we didnt want to stay  and started walking away from the Pier.We ended up going to one of the nearby Martini Bar in 2nd and Broadway, this place used to be called Voda Martini Lounge but changed the management and it is now called Chloe Bar. Back in the day, this place used to be one my hang out, used to get free martinis coz i know the bartender hahaha!. Place is alright, too small and little too loud so not good to chat but mingle is okay. Doris ordered her greygoose straight up with a lemon twist, i ordered red cabernet and Jenn had Shirley Temple hahaha! we chatted for about an hour or so then decided to head home, we have work the next day  so we ended up with a good night hugs and kiss on the cheeks and drove home.
