Stunning Lakes

Croatia is a modern country (I’m sorry but I didn’t expect that). The Plivitce Lakes are very beautiful. I was only one day in Italy. I would like to visit this country again (Rome, Milan, Venice …). The caves of Postonja (Slovenia) are impressive.

Stunning Lakes

Barbara (Babeci) is our tour guide today. Unfortunately she speaks German to our group. I prefer English. We are on our way to the Plitvice Lakes and passing a lot of houses which are damaged in the Second World War and also the war of the ’90s. You can see the bullet holes in the houses. We also see a lot of plum-trees. Plum is the ingredient for their national drink Slijvovica. When the sun is shining the Plitvice Lakes are stunning. Also with “bad” weather, which we had, the lakes are great. I love nature and walking, so this was my favourite day. We were walking an hour and took the boat to reach the other side. It is possible to walk in this area for 2 days. We walked a bit more and then took the panorama bus back to the parking lot.
