View of Parliament from the Fishermen's Bastion
I came back to Budapest after almost 7 years, just wanted to see again some of my favorite places and do some shopping.
Fishermens' Bastion was the first on my list. Some parts were under renovation and couldn't see it all in its beauty.
But Panorama is lovely there and is one of the "must see" in the city.
While I was there I stopped by the Szabo Marzipan Museum, very weird but very tasty one :) All exposed "objects" were made from marzipan. Impressing at the same time. I got the chance to taste the brutto marzipan and then to buy some sweet souvenirs. It is far the best marzipan I ever tasted.
Széchenyi Chain Bridge was the first permanent bridge over the Danube, signifying the union of Buda, Pest and Obuda in 1873. The festival held in the summer is cute and nice, with lots of local foods, souvenirs and music around. (http://www.festivalcity.hu/nyar2008/)
