starting from my friends place..
Well fortunately I got off work early on Thursday, guess it's good to be the boss. Off at noon on the road at two. But it's hard to leave a cool place like where I stay. Since I haven't posted anything yet, I'll do it now. I stay with a friend who is a retired laborer, he was one of the first hired on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, back when they built it. He built three houses. The first two taken by ex-wives and the third, this nice little log cabin. I house sit for him in fall when he goes bird hunting in South Dakota, I basically can't wait to get home and kick back at the place.
As for the ride first day drive, well. Well, suprisingly it didn't take me long to get into road trip mode. Usually I need a good four or five hours on the asphalt to get the mind free to roam along with passing scenery. Of course two hours into the trip I had to stop at the Food Cache in Delta for an order of gizzards (mmm). I wasn't planning on taking alot of pics on the way down, cause I had a long haul and wanted to get to my friends place before it got too late. But there was one or two I couldn't pass up....
