Hato Mayor
June 20, 2008
Hayo Mayor. Right now I wish to be back there. I went for nine days on a missions trip. We worked in med clinics, vacation bible schools, visited churches, and held services in the local villages. When I came back it was so hard to describe to people what happened there. When I was there the Holy Spirit came down on us. Several of the nights during worship most people would fall on their knees and cry letting out their deepest darkest secrets. The prayers went from "Come on us Lord." to a boy confessing that he was addicted to pornography. Keep in mind that everyone there has known eachother for at least six years and we've all been very guarded. So each night people confessed their sins and after I came home I confessed mine. It makes me sad when people say that God can not exist because I have seen Him and he is beautiful. Surrender and he'll take you places. Everyday before we studied the Bible and after every worship all 150 of us would raise our arms to sing a particular song that Jim McDonald had taught us, it goes a little something like this...
I love you Lord
And I lift my voice
To worship you
Oh my soul rejoice
Take joy my king
In what you hear
let it be a sweet sweet sound in your ear
I love you Lord
And I lift my voice
To worship you
Oh my soul rejoice
Take joy my king
In what you hear
let it be a sweet sweet sound in your ear.
I love you Lord
And I lift my voice
To worship you
Oh my soul rejoice
Take joy my king
In what you hear
let it be a sweet sweet sound in your ear
I love you Lord
And I lift my voice
To worship you
Oh my soul rejoice
Take joy my king
In what you hear
let it be a sweet sweet sound in your ear.
