The first morning we arrived early in our matching uniforms to give the booth a final cleaning and prepare for the onslaught of attendees.  Each day, we spent about eight hours or so on our feet tending our booth and walking the show floor (padded carpeting over concrete).  At night, we typically all went out for decent dinners together as a group.

The owners had become a bit stingier than they were the previous year and they looked for more bargain activities.  Their entertainment idea for the first night was to buy a veggie platter at the supermarket and stand outside the Bellagio to munch on raw carrots while watching the free fountain show.  Less than impressed with the idea, I opted to catch Midnight Fantasy, the nightly show at the Pharaoh’s Theater at our hotel.  I had never seen a “topless dance review” before, but I knew it had to be more entertaining than broccoli and some choreographed water jets.

The eye-catching show included a magic act and a comedic host in addition to the main song and dance numbers.  It was a blast and a couple of the performers came out after to pose for pictures with those of us excited audience members who had stuck around to wait for them.  After the photo op, I caught up with the other guys to hang out for an hour or two in the casino before hitting the sack.
