Genova - where the sea is just the best
July 4, 2008
Genova is probably the best place in Italy... or at least one of the best. It has everything - city life, sea, hills, beautiful views and beaches (few km from city) and since few years even the metro line! [LOL!]
From Milano i went to Genova and was there by the evening. I took the metro - made tons of pics, then changed for a bus which was climbing the steep streets of Genova to the top of the hills where the hostel were (the only one here!).
Here i checked in and went to my room. There i met Santiago an argentinian guy - who was looking for a job in Italy. Since he was there alone and me as well - and i didn't mind company so we rode down to the city - for visiting and drinking some beer. It was a blast, i tell ya! The night life is so great there - we got off at the "De Ferrari" square - there were lotsa ppl. Then we walked just through the narrow streets looking for some nice place to sit down and chill out drinking beer.
And i can tell ya, i didn't expect they could serve really good beer there - but it was good! Pity, i forgot the name! But i still know the place - so theoreticaly i can go there every minute and find the bar and drink it again ;) as we went back with the second last night bus to the hostel, there were some ppl at the terrace in front of it, so we joined. We met 4 spanish girls (Pilar! - estoy hablando de ti tambien chica! jajajaja), who were traveling by InterRail [for out of Europe ppl: InterRail is a rail pass for all trains - u can choose the period (10 till 30days) and countries (1,2,3 zones or the whole EU with some other like Norway, Turkey or even Marocco)] we was talking - making stupid jokes and just hunging around. We tryed to find some kind of bar or anything but up there u can't find anything of it, there are only houses. so, we just were sitting on thy road hahaha. Anyway this was really nice. It was after 3 in the morning when i went to bed.
