I’ve moved to Morocco, permanently… I’ve got Africa to the south and Europe to the north, awaiting me and my guitar… But first things first. I’ve got to put down roots here in Morocco. And while I’m doing that, I’m going to go play music in Every Single Town in the whole country…

0206. Another Mountainside Town (Mor 054--new)

At 3 Dirhams for a taxi kbir, Zegangane could almost be considered a suburb of Nador--but it definitely has it's own unique personality.  There's a nice shady park that's perfect for parkbenching and a lively market with vendors selling tons of potatoes directly out of the backs of transport trucks.  The eucalyptis trees give the market a pleasant feel.

But it's the regal cliffs that tower above Zegangane that give it it's distinction.  They look like they'd be alot of fun to climb if it weren't for the cactuses clinging to the cliff walls!

Really enjoyed my tour of the town--unfortunately I wasn't able to find transportation to the next town on my map, so I decided to backtrack to Nador and start again...
