Vegas Thrills

There's three inescapable truths in Vegas - Death, taxes and the fact that almost every attraction worth visiting happens to located in the precincts of, and built by, one of the Las Vegas hotels / casinos. So if you're seeking thrills in Vegas (other the slots and tables), all you have to do is map out a list of casino resorts and visit them. Here's my plan of action for getting my brain melted with scary thrills and wild thrill rides. If you're going to follow my plan, better carry along a handful of barf bags.

The Roller Coaster at New York-New York - Lifts you up 203 feet and drops down 144 feet at 67 mph. Simulates a fighter jets barrel rool and lots of other heart-stopping stuff.

Stratosphere X-Scream - Throws you down 27 feet headforst over the tower of the Stratosphere. really scary stuff. Also at the Stratosphere, the Big Shot, which launches you 160 ft in 2.5 seconds for a feeling of pure weightlessness.

Luxor Motion Simulator - Join the crew at the Pharaoh's Pavilion in search of the crystal obelisk.

Buffalo Bill's Desperado - 225-foot drop down a 55-degree descent on the first hill. By the time the train lunges into the tunnel, its going at breakneck speed.

Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton - using motion simulators and live interaction, Star Trek: The Experience takes you on a Klingon Encounter and a Borg invasion. This attraction is going to close in September, so if you want to see it, you still have a month and a half.

There's lots more, but I reckon we just don't have the time for any more. More correctly, the stomach for anymore, cause we'll probably run out of barf bags long before we hit Star Trek... I'll be abstaining from my daily dose of hot, greasy food until I can forget the ups and downs of Vegas. :)
