Leaving for Sedona

We left on sat. morning from Gilbert, AZ on our way to Sedona, AZ. We had planned a day trip with our friends Kami and Bryan. It is only about an hour and a half drive north on the 17 from phoenix to this beautiful place. It is really easy to get there and a very pretty drive. all you do is take the 17 north, which is off the 10, for almost 100 miles. there are signs all over the freeway once you start getting close but if somehow you miss them exit on AZ-179 and turn left. after you exit you will drive for a little while, it looks like you are in the desert but all of a sudden these enormous red rocks shoot from the ground out of no where...it is so beautiful, i never get tired of it. Just keep going straight for a little while. you will drive through a small town that you might mistake for sedona but you have to keep going. 179 dead ends into sedona.

Sometimes i complain about living in the desert but when i really think about it i shouldn't because it is so amazing and has so much to offer.

I made a weekend trip and went to sedona, Grand Canyon and the meteor crator. It was absolutely beautiful. I totally agree with you when you said "sometimes I complain about the desert" but your right, now that I am gone, I do kind of miss it and it does have a lot to offer. Our state kicks ass.
