We are Californians born and raised.  We had been to Las Vegas and Reno and had one short trip to Seattle to visit a relative. And last year we decided that a trip to Europe would be a good thing, and it truly was.  But now we have decided to see somemore of the U. S..  And after talking with one of our sons who had been to Mount Rushmore recently we decided to put that location on our map and see what else we could see on the way and what else on the way back.  The trip really took us quite a while to plan and get ready, but we both enjoyed the trip and all the sights we were able to take in.  I hope your enjoy the highlights.
