Grand Canyon - North Rim

Today was the Grand Canyon, but from the North Rim. Most times you will see reviews and blogs from the south rim, which is the most popular point for tourists.

We drive about 80 miles south from Kanab, Utah to the end of the road.

We spent nearly the entire day strolling along at one point and then driving to the next and doing it all again.  But let me remind everyone that this area is at the 8,000 foot level, so the air is thin and anyone with breathing or heart problems should be very careful about their amounts of exercise.  My husband used to smoke and he had asthma for his entire life, so we had to really go slow while walking and hiking around here.

Like everyone else I think the Grand Canyon is spectacular.  Much bigger than you imagine, and with the clouds and sun changing overhead the colors change in the canyon. There are not the amazing colors here that we had at Bryce Canyon, but just the size alone is so amazing.
