Life Does Not Always Run Smoothly...
When we all eventually woke up we had to pack up and clean up. Surprisingly packing didnt take too long at all. Clean up was very quick too. Everything was going really well.
We even had some spare time to mess about in the snow again while we waited for our taxi's arrive.
Our taxi's showed up on time. The owner of the place was happy when we gave back the keys. The taxi got us to the airport much quicker than we thought. Those of us who had money (everyone except for myself & Tom) went and got some food to waste away the time. Was good fun looking through all the cameras and see how many embarassing photos were taken of you.
As I was once again stood in the airport built by Lego and having not made it to Legoland, I decided to finally take a photo of the gigantic lego glode hanging from the ceiling.
Just before I took my photo there was a little kid stood beneath it looking up in childlike wonder and awe. As always happens with such moments, the kid looked away just before I took it...After a brief wheelchair race, they left the wheelchairs unattended what were we supposed to do, we got to the check-in desk with plenty of time to spare.
At the check-in desk is where the story gets interesting. As I approached the desk and the lady looked at my passport, I suddenly got the feeling that everything was not right. My name wasnt on the passenger list. Shit. Tom walked up. His name wasnt there either.
Mark, our fearless leader who had organised the trip, had some questions to answer. He booked the wrong flight home. We were apparently not meant to get off the flight. If you notice the Ryanair website gives a warning message now if you try to do this. Thats because of us.
We had to split the cost of new flights across 6 credit cards!!
It went from being a fantastic cheap weekend to being a fantastic yet damn expensive weekend in about 5 minutes!
We may have to look into getting a new tour leader for the next Runamuck Tours mystery trip, although he DID do a fantastic job up until that moment.
