The next day we toured this bridge that used to connect Dan Dong (China) to N. Korea till during the Korean War when the U.S. bombed it. All my friends kept telling me I was like a spy but, they told me if any one asked what country I was from I should say Canada because no one has a problem with Canada! We got to stand in N. Korea for 5 sec or so then we were told to get back to the other side. The bridge is defiantly a tourist trap! Then we went on a boat ride that took us like 10 ft. away from the N. Korean land! I enjoyed it but… my camera’s batteries diedL!

After that we went and ate lunch next to Fenghuangshan (Phoenix Mnt) there we prepared to hike up the mnt.

The mountain is prolly the steepest mnt. I have ever climbed sometimes you walked up a sheer cliff face with only hand rails to pull yourself up by and little steps carved into the rock! You can take a ski lift up if you want! So it took about half a day to climb through forest, rocks, and crevasse. There are little shops along the way for eats, drinks, and souvenirs! The most common souvenir was Phoenix eggs (stone rocks)!

The climb was pretty tough for some people. I followed up the back so I could take as many pictures without people in them. I took my time and I’m in shape but, it was pretty difficult at the very end! The ski lift broke down for about an hour which didn’t matter because by the time I got there it just started to work again “perfect timing.” My friend and I rode down together it was a 2 seater. At there bottom there was this monkey handler who had a monkey dressed up as the monkey king a Chinese symbol. I watched for a while then started to walk away when he put him on my shoulder and my friend took a couple photos for me then the guy was like 5 Yuan! I was like I didn’t agree to this and started to walk away but, he got in front of me and said in really crappy engrish he said, “neoow!” That monkey put its but in my face too when it was posing on me too. I paid him 5 Yuan after arguing because he wouldn’t let me by! Oh well damn dirty monkey king! Then we got back on the buses and rode back home. I would suggest going to phonic mnt. too!
