I don't think you can even call this chinglish!!!
We woke up at 6:30 which sucked because it was sat. and I
don’t wake up that early even for work. We ate breakfast which was a type of
porridge with a spicy taste and clumpy huge bread with juice and some
vegetables (this is a normal Chinese breakfast if you are interested). Then
took an hour drive to a nearby lake I was told they were going to be drifting
boats (I assumed that it was going to be like the New Zealand style boats that
go like 80 mph (140ish kph) and fly and drift and I would be freaking out so I
was excited but, it ended up being a little slower I think we went around 7 mph
(still fun though) we got to visit some villages that lived on the lake shore.
One village had a tree that was 500
years old and would give you good luck if you bought water or a red cloth for
It was a cool tree I doubt its powers for luck and health though… Also they
have a little market for the tourists (which happened to be all 70 of us in the
company). They sold random foods (snake and scorpion) I wanted those but everyone
said I couldn’t have them no fun! Then they had like “ancient Chinese secret”
medicines weird and handmade pipe’s. We rode on this boat for around 2 hours or
so around to little villages and looking at scenes. We went to a place with a
cool creek by it so I explored of course while everyone else shopped!
Snake to eat!
Then we went to a fast creek with
little rapids like rafting basically! We were on the little creek for about
only 30 ish min. It was small but really fun it was all fast and bumpy! We had
a huge companywide water fight! The deepest the creek got was prolly 6 ft.
to back flip off the raft! We started off getting pushed off through this funnel
cattle resembling gate on to the creek kind of interesting, we had 1 paddle
too. Sorry I got only one picture! The only bad part of this event was when I steered
us into the trees and in about a minute my partner was like SPIDERS!!!! I had 3
spiders on my back one NO Kidding the size of my fist! The other two were
smaller but a little bigger than a quarter. I said in Chinese “Shem ma? WO
KAO!!!” translation! “WHAT? OH SHIT!!!” I jumped out of the raft after I got my
life vest off and my partner finished smacking my back. I couldn’t stop jumping
on the raft so I jumped out then got back in! I hate spiders. I got bit by a
brown recluse baby spider when I was around 13yrs. Old it sucked! So that’s why
I hate spiders!
Then we went to have lunch at this
huge water fall! I thought it was one of the prettiest things I have seen in
China till I went to the beach 20 KM from my house here.
We had a picnic and
took photos! Then we climbed this little mnt. here by the water fall. I saw
these people doing a zip line over the falls and was like sweet but it probably
costs a lot! Then once we got to the top I heard that our company paied for anyone
who wanted to go on it. So I jumped in line. It was pretty sweet and fast and
fun! I enjoyed this a lot if your ever in Dan Dong go here. It’s a must see and
Then we went back to Dan Dong which
took 2 hours then we went to dinner after I explored for a little bit I found a
little festival celebration in a nearby square! Then we went to a nice restaurant
to feast like kings. I eat like a king on the weekend and eat very little
during the week. I always love company dinners there always great food and fun
times are had by all! WE ate and drank lots then the remaining guys went and
walked the pier that overlooked the river that separated N.
Korea and Chinas
boarders. Then we decided that for some reason we needed some BBQ (in china BBQ
is either lamb, beef, fish or chicken meat squired then cooked with spices) we
ate and drank more then started to play the Chinese version of hakie sack it
was hilarious! Then we went back to the hotel and slept!
