Heading back to the States...
And after so many days of living far from home, it was finally time for me to return to California. I had bought a new ticket home to extend my trip by another few weeks, but now I had to go home. My last day in San Jose was spent with a lot of wandering, writing, shopping, and eating. I was still trying to recover from the almost all nighter the night before with one of my best friends I hadn't seen in 2 years who just so happened to be in San Jose for one night before I left. Sweet! And as for how I was feeling about returning home... I guess I would say my emotions were mixed. Its always bittersweet for me, if not a little more bitter than sweet, only because you never know how long it will be before you hit the road again. Not to mention, making mental note to not say "gracias," as it had been a word I said a hundred times a day for the last five months. do I really have to say 2 words now instead of just one? are my travels really over for now? do I really have to go home?
