Today we have another full day of touring around Paris. Luckily it started late, because we were very late getting in last night and were very tired.  Breakfast at the hotel was pretty good today, and finally we were on the bus for our morning tour, a nice around town tour of the sights of Paris.  The Opera, Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysees were just a couple of the highlights.  Being the old city it is there are so many wonderful sights to see and the architecture is so marvelous. The tour also included tickets to the second level of the Eiffel Tower.  It took awhile for us to go up and then we had plenty of time to look around from that high level. Some really nice views, but it also showed how much smog they have.

There were other optional tours available to the Louve museum and to a cabaret show that evening, but we opted out of those due to my hubby’s knee and the outrageous price of the show.  A quiet evening in Paris was right for us.

Several of us walked the Champs-Elysees and had lunch at a nice sandwich, soup, and salad place.  Then a little more strolling before taking a cab back to the hotel. We walked to a market to buy snacks and a pharmacy to get pain meds, then back to the hotel for a nap.

Thant even we ate at the hotel. A nice quiet meal, a bottle of wine and more time to relax.
