We were able to take two 15 day tours through Brendon Tours with a few extra days in London between.

London

Today we are on the move to London.  Unfortunately the x-ray equipment at the train station is on the blink so we have to use the individual aisles instead of the tour area.  That meant a long time in line and was hard on the tour director.  Finally onto the train and off we went across France at really high speed and into the Chunnel to London.  It was the fastest thing on the ground I have ever been on but it didn’t feel like it. Smooth and comfortable.  I believe we were doing over 180 mph.

From the train station we were bused to our last hotel of the tour, the Hilton London Metropole. This is the biggest, prettiest, and nicest hotel of all and all Globus tours that end in London end here.  They have a permanent staff officed here and they are all super people.

Dinner here at the hotel that evening was buffet style, with lots of choices and all of it was very good.

Our ending hotel for both tours
This huge beautiful hotel was the ending hotel for both of our tours and permanent staffs from several Tour companies also had offices here. We never had enough time to look around completely but there were boutiques and shops and the restaurant were we ate was a very nice buffet with plenty of choices.

Our room was well up high and the elevators were swift but comfortable to use. The room itself was very nicely furnished, clean and well maintained.

I am sure this hotel is rated at 4 stars and I would recommend it highly.
