We had about a half hour stop at Coventry. This stop was one for the heart strings. The wonderful modern cathedral had been built next to the rubble of the old cathedral which had been bombed and burned during world war II. After the war German youth had helped stabilize the ruins and they were so moved by the experience and what had happened that they used some chard timbers to create a cross and put two words near the alter, “Father Forgive”. It really pulled at the heart strings and brought tears to our eyes.
