Blood”, The Great Price for Freedom

Blood was shed through thousands upon thousands of our young men and women. 

Lives given -- All in the name of Freedom.  Many mothers and fathers have shed tears for their lost loved ones; yet the agony of war remains upon their faces.  Dwelling deep within themselves comes a scream of desperation, as they wipe the tears away from their eyes.  A bit of silence -- then words from their hearts come forth; “Such a great loss only demands a great reward” as they themselves go and shed their lives for the sake of freedom.

 

Upon a hill, called the Skull, hung the mightiest warrior of all ages.  As the enemy scorned and spat upon Him, laughter and mockery filled the air.  Torturing Him beyond compare of what a mere man could ever withstand.  His life Blood flowed down from His deep wounds, as He spoke these words: “Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing”.  Then Jesus died for each of us.  Jesus came to give us true freedom.  “So if the Son set you Free, you are Free indeed.”  Yes freedom has a great cost, and Jesus paid that price with His Blood...
