Just to show you some part of my native city : Reims...
Stuck so much time there and not so much interesting...don't wanna go back now :( ...I'm feel free to see some part of the world :)
- Except to get a vineyard ( I cross the fingers and pray god or whoever :D )
- Or eat at Le grand cafe ( see review ) i love this restaurant... mussels are so yummy :D
- And see some friends..., and family,...and... ;)
It's a little city, 80 miles west of Paris, not so much things to do ( visit the famous Cathedral ;p ) but at least we have THE REAL ONE : Champagne ;) sorry but kinda proud of it....and I was fed with it ah ah ah...
Most famous Champagne houses in Reims are : Ruinart, Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin, Mumm, Pommery-Vranken (this one, worth to visit), Lanson (I don't like), Krug (one of the most expensive), Louis Roederer (cristal not so cheap) and Taittinger for the most famous. ..esay to visit and enjoyable...with a tasting :)
this is where I learned my work... as drinker... : heuuuu sorry winemaker ;DDD
and some others are to Epernay ( 30 miles away, really nice view on the vineyard from Reims ) : Moet & Chandon (of course), De castellane (with an impressive tower), Perrie-jouet on Champagne avenue :) ( the richest avenue in the world, if you count all Champagne bottles in the cellars under the street ;) ). Plus a lot of little winegrowers with 2-3 ha, who make their own Champagne...my dream to do that...
and some nice villages all around Champagne area, where I used to work too.
***Cheers***
