arrival home

New Haven Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

I had been to the state of Missouri once before, but only to the airport in Kansas City, so I jumped at the opportunity when I was invited to the Saint Louis the for an interview. Unfortunately, my short visit was all business, but I did enjoy long drives through the countryside from and to the airport.

arrival home

Arriving at 7:45pm, my flight had landed 25 minutes ahead of schedule.  I retrieved my gate-checked bag from the cart on the tarmac, entered Tweed terminal, and asked to use the phone.  I call CT Transit to have the next G bus stop at the airport as the driver on Tuesday had suggested I should.  Answered on ring one, a recording greeted my call.  The voice on the line stated the office hours of 6:30am through 6:30pm, so I rolled my eyes and hung up the phone to go outside and up to the street.

The 7:42 G bus surely passed ten minutes earlier, so I had another 50 to kill before the next one on the schedule.  In typical unreliable fashion, the GF arrived 11 late and I was not to downtown until 9:25.  From there, I caught the aptly named BO bus at quarter of and finally reached home, exhausted and starved, at 10:00pm.

Evans, You write seriously well. Your attention to detail is such that you must take notes! I felt like I was there with you.
