If you prefer a peaceful afternoon, take a walk or rent a paddle boat along the White River Canal. Veterans Memorial Park houses an array of historical monuments and statues and is surrounded by some of the capitals oldest buildings. Indianapolis has more historical war monuments than any other U.S. city, including our nation's capital! The Indianapolis Zoo and Botanical Gardens is home to the nation’s only underwater dolphin exhibit as well as a collection of plants and animals from across the globe.
