I went to sweden for a week end of may.
Rented a house close to Trosa; which is about 1 hour from Stockholm
Sweden is beutiful! loads of nature; lakes leading into the ocean. You can go fishing (rumor has it that there actually fish in the water.... i on the other hand did not catch a single one...)
Houses in the country side do not have locks; because it is very secure there.
It does not get dark at night,,,, well okay; for 1 hour or so it is darkish; but otherwise not....
however during the winter months its hardly ever light
If you want to experience the real swedish atmosphere go to the country or a place outside stockholm.
almost everyone speaks english.

Stockholm on the other side is totally different; many tourists. But also very worth seeing!!

I would recommend going to Sweden; even if its just for the weekend; it's jst so different there :)
