Today I woke up felt A LOT better :) but I was still a little worried about the altitude sickness, I went to buy some pills nothing was not going stop me from having fun. The previous day my parents made reservations for a tour around Cuzco I am very excited about it!
Our first stop is in Qorikancha is a very famous temple in Cuzco it means "The Golden Palace" this was a convent and a chruch built over old ruins. It was really interesting how Julio our tour guide explained about how the Incas use to worship their Gods before the Spanish came. On the second floor they had a lot of paints how possibly the world started for the Incas. We went outside to see the Qorikancha gardens it looked mind blowning. :)
Next destination is Saqsaywaman and no it does not mean "Sexy Women" what it actually means is "Head of the Puma".You are probably wondering why its called that? Julio explained that Cuzco's actual streets are meant to look like a Puma and Saqsaywaman is suppose to be the head! :D Julio even demonstrated to us with a drawling in the ground using an old rustly nail as well all the stone work in this place are perfectly shaped like the ones in Machu Picchu. I loved being here and surprisenly I got REALLY hot in Saqsaywaman, before coming to Peru thought it was going to be cold (in the past it has been) and especially in Cuzco because it higher altitude its on the Andes plus on the count of being winter on the sourthern hemesphere I thought it would be colder! I guess all those American winters made my body stronger....haha...idk strangely enough Katie was not that hot....:P
