Sometimes I like swing into action as soon as possible, so I called to the best surf school to arrange some lessons and have bought 10 hours with instructor.
06.07.2008 The first step - done. heheh..now I dream about "the bridge" :) the very ordinary bridge, one of many, but my instructor said "this's the place where you will be able to swim on your own" !!! Well...the bridge is hardly visible from the lake bank. I will see how it goes...soon.
08.07.2008 Nine hours in the office, two looong hours in the traffic jam and my next step... now it was much easier. Control equipment, feel the wind and the balance - that's all. Not difficult or havy, but.... I still need to train, am afraid :)
next saturday - it is more hard than I thought, espesially when there is no wind, I had six bruises and had to swimm pushing all equipment half an hour to the bank becouse there were no wind.
Anyway, I picked some more photos from the area around and found some info about the place. And I had no idea that only thirty years ago , there was no lake here. The reservoir was built between 1958-1963. The Zalew Zegrzyński reservoir is connected with the Wisła River by the Kanał Żerański canal 17 km (the royal canal-Kanał Królewski designed in the 16th century followed the same way). The lake is divided into thee parts. I was visiting the southern part. If only I find mony for petrol, hehe I will drive around it :)
Nieporęt it is a large village. In the past this was the a hunting area. Driving back home I stopped to see the Baroque church, the 18th century gate and the town hall. There is also great restaurant Klepisko, but I didn't find it yet. Have to do it next time. Klepisko is a building put up in the country style so maybe it is good to see it.
