Well, after much deliberation and countless hours spent planning, scrapping plans and re-planning, I am gloing back to Central America to study spanish and Volunteer. This time I will also be venturing off into South America, marking the start of a new chapter in my life. And yes, for those who know me, this time I will be leaving my stash of granola bars back in Canada, so I can actually experience (if not fully appreciate) foreign cuisines as well...:)

Well, I just got off the phone with my friend Jenny who decided on the fly to book a trip to Belize...at first I cursed her for being a Teacher and having the Summer off to plan trips on the fly, then I cursed her for going there without me since we had traveled there together last New Years, followed by me cursing her for reminding me she did ask me and I had no holidays left...FINALLY I cursed her for making me take care of her dogs while she is away...the last curse wasn't as loud, since I do love her dogs.

In the end I forgave her, and I realized that I shouldn't be selfish , especially since my next travel adventure is going to make her little two week jaunt look pale in comparaison...

;)

I have spent the last 3 months conflicted, wanting to spend 5 months traveling through Central and South America, improving my Spanish and volunteering. However I didn't want to give up the security and career advancement of my current job, since it is a pretty sweet deal. It wasn't until last month and a weekend in Vancouver visiting "mi amiga mejor", that I realized security doesn't mean much if your life isn't enlightening you in some way...

Therefore, I am booking my trip (will keep you posted), getting everything in order, and am going to have the time of my life even if I do get homesick once in a while...and when I return I will be moving to a new City and starting a new adventure (an adventure that I will be able to translate in both English and Spanish versions):).

Wish me luck and once I get the itinerary and dates, I will post them and then be creeping on all of Central and South America blogs I can find...I apologize in advance.
