This is my first travel blog so it's a bit of a test, but due to a job change, it's probably my last company paid trip abroad. Anyway, I wanted to test this whole travel blog thing before my fall vacation in Greece.

La Scala Theatre

Box seats at La Scala

So far, I'm still spending most of my time working and have not had the opportunity to get out much.  Hopefully this afternoon we will finish work a little early and will be able to see some more of the city.  Last night I was given an opportunity that I never expected.  A co-worker here in Milan gave a U.S. co-worker and myself a gift of two tickets to Teatro alla Scala .  The performance was a Beetoven symphony which was conducted by the German conductor, Daniel Barenboim.  When we arrived at the theater, we realized that we had been given box seats.  Both the performance and the environment were extrodinary.  Unfortunately I did not have my camera and my co worker doesn't have the data cable for hers, so I can't add a photo until I return home.

This afternoon we hope to go back to the Duomo and climb to the top - I WILL take my camera this time !
