A weekendtrip from Bangalore away, we went to see one of the oldest temple ruins of India. A World Heritage Sight we couldn't miss!

Ruined but so nice

We rented biciclyes and had a guide to show us around Hampi. It was very hot (good we brought suncream) but really the best to get around: Peacful, yet fast and convenient.

A few meters down the small river from the old market go through a forest of banana trees and you will find a nice restaurant/cafe called "Mango Tree". On the indeed big mango tree is a swing and there are places to sit on concrete floor and enjoy the view with a fresh lime soda. The waiters are very nice and you fell like staying forever. It has Indian, mid-priced food. A must-go!
