A trip to Guatemala and Belize
A bit expensive for Guatemala
Situated a short walk from the main street Calle Santander on Calle Rancho Grande (the street running parallel to Calle Santander) is the Rancho Grande Inn, which touts itself as 'Pana's best place to stay'. It might have been once but at the moment it is becoming slightly rundown. Rooms are huge but dark, making them a bit gloomy (as is the breakfast area). Bathrooms are old but clean, with plentiful hot water. Rooms are centered around a pretty garden with a lawn and flowers.
There's a pool but since it was too cold, we didn't use it.
In addition to the garden, the thing we liked best about this hotel was the breakfast (included in the price of US$ 66,- per room). It was huge and filling, with delicious 'pancakes' (I guess they'd be called biscuits in the States), eggs of your choice, OJ and delicious Guatemalan coffee. Hmmmm...

This was a really delicious brea
