Saying goodbye

Our last day and the end of a wonderful trip.
Since our plane was leaving 11 o'clock at night, we still had the entire day in Las Vegas. We managed to get some shopping done AND to stuff all that last-day shopping in our suitcases. Quite a feat, especially since we had to do it in the car (we had to check out of our hotel at noon, grrr...)

Our first and only casino visit....
Large complex
We were quite satisfied with our room. The room was large enough for us to spread our stuff around and repack in all comfort. We has a large king size bed, very plush (why are the beds in Vegas hotels so high?), with draperies (and mirrors) all around. We were on the 20th floor so we had a nice view ("Ooohhh... look at all those SHOPS!"). Bathroom was very clean, with separate sink/vanity area, quite roomy. The hotel(complex, really) consists of (beside the hotel) a casino, occupying the entire lobby area (check out the ceiling, must have been where The Venetian got its 'cloudy' idea from), several restaurants ranging from a Starbucks to a fancy-ish steak establishment, and of course the requisite all-you-can eat-buffet, a Hooters, a bowling alley, pool, and an entertainment center (featuring 80's artists). All in all, it was a good value (we got a room for $65,-, not including tax).

I like this casino too, mostly because its lobby has high powered air so you never smell any cigarette smoke. The Venetian, however, was built first so Sunset Station probably got the cloudy sky idea from them ! :P
