more secret places in the secret little town.

at ferrol - the woman in the rental car company was shocked, amazed, astonished etc that the car was driven for 2000 kms! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

pablo toured us in el ferrol - it was a beautiful rustic, old city, looked like time stood still, unfortunately we dont have much time. he drove us to the old center of ferrol, which ic beyond words for me, it reminded me of the city of liège in belgium. old rustic houses, run down almost, but still quaint and charming. it really adds to the beauty of el ferrol.

but pablo was soooo eager to show us more beaches in the area around cedeira - we first went to see the sand dunes of playa villarube. i received a text message from lori asking where we were, and i told her, were scouting beaches to go in the morning and she was so excited about it.

when we saw the sand dunes at playa villarube, it was..  it was god damn beautiful. but i told pablo, it would not be a beach for us to go, although it is really beautiful, its quite mossy and full of algae and there are no shades (as i dont want to get heat stroke again). but dont get me wrong, the landscape is so beautiful!

after showing us playa villarube, pablo led us to a small pathway, towards a dark forest. with a small winding river - brook and a small cataract. ben was so so excited! he was hopping inside the forest! as pablo would say a hobbit (me) and an elf (ben) wandering around the forest and i told him - well theres also an idiot in the forest. hahahahaha. it seems strange as the two of them talking quietly and whispering to each other, im sure theyre plotting to kill me! hahaha

we were there for quite a while and ben was clinging to some vines that i wa scared for him if he fell down! hahahaah

after the forest escapade, pablo drove us again to a small town called valdoviño, there, the cliffs where not as high as in cedeira, but full of secret coves, the beaches were not sandy, but pebbles - pebblestone beaches. the weather was so warm and lots of people were having a dip in the late afternoon. in the cliffs of valdoviño there was a lighthouse and me and pablo drove there and we walked around the area - ben was always out of sight! as he was so curious and keep hopping like a jackrabbit! and pablo looked stranged walking like a chicken! hahahaha.

from the distant, i can see the cliffs of cedeira and the windmills on top of the serra capelada. i couldnt believe that we were
there a week ago.

after an hour of hopping, taking pictures and pablo teasing me and me calling him idiot, we decided to go back to cedeira, me and ben were super hungry - and also lori kept texting us where we are! arrrggghhhhh - still we didnt found a beach to swim tomorrow!
