Cafe Mozart

Well, I have been complaining about how everywhere is cooler than Salzburg. Then I decided to have a second look and this is the random blog about things I have been looking at...
Very classic Austrian café... very viennese actually.
This little Cafe feels a bit hidden, though it is in fact stormed by tourists and locals alike. Whats so special about it, is the decoration... very baroque, very golden, many mirrors and Cristal-lamps.
Otherwise it does offer what every other cafe in austria offers too, excellent coffee of any kind, from the viennese types, like melange to the italian kind, caffe latte and the kind. It also has tarts, pies and other things for the sweet tooth.
But what sets it apart a bit, is that it has warm kitchen... soups, salads and also more complicated things. And what makes it a touristy place... it offers "Salzburger Nockerl". Not my personal favourite dessert, but you can't go through here without trying a local speciality.
It has a non-smoking and a smoking area, the waiters are nice and the prices are okay for the city-centre... where everything has a certain special price.

Aircrafts and modern art in a stunning building
This museum is a bit outside the center, and belongs to Red-Bull-owner Didi Mateschitz, thus there is plenty of Red-Bull-logos all over the place, but I guess that's what makes it free. And also, that its actually a popular rent able party-and filming-location and has a bar, a restaurant and a cafe attached. Those were a bit expensive for my tastes, but aren't museum cafes always?
It contains plenty of aircrafts from about the forties to now and varying exhibitions of modern art.
Besides this, this whole thing is located in a glass-construction looking like a hangar, with a bar located at the highest peak, which you have to walk up to, its quite amazing.
The funniest thing about it though is, that everything is themed to airport. The drive-way has little lamps just like a starting-lane for planes, the staff is dressed in air-host/ess styles and you even get a entry ticket that looks like a boarding pass. Its so cute.
If you are a fan of airports, aircrafts or even just like themed restaurants, this is the place for you.

Sadly, I am not that big a fan to remember all their names, but there were about fifteen planes and they are done up very nicely with a lot of info too. I tried photographing the boards, but they came out black. Hmmm... for more info you will have to take a look yourself, I guess.
