Der Salzburger Christkindlmarkt

Well, I have been complaining about how everywhere is cooler than Salzburg. Then I decided to have a second look and this is the random blog about things I have been looking at...
Christmas Market to get you into the mood
The Salzburger Christkindlmarkt has a long tradition. Its also surrounded by historic buildings and the Dome.
It consists of Stalls that sell all sorts of arts and crafts, wintery clothes and of course, mulled wine (Gluhwein), punch and pretzels.
It also has a large Christmas-Tree and a ice-skating-rink. Overall its very romantic, even though it is crowded almost every day, in the pre-christmas time.
Whats especially good are the different sorts of pretzels and I love the rotary-club-gluhwein-stand... the people there are nice and its for a good cause as well.
Whats annoying is the music that comes out of the loudspeakers, you can only hear so many carols.
The Christkindlmarkt is opened end of September and is open daily from about 3 pm to 9pm.
