Mostly an impression of pictures of my stay here

Active day at Berg en Dal

Canopying

Berg en Dal is a village near the Afobaka dam and next to the Surinameriver. At Berg en Dal you will be taken for a walk on the hill and hear about the history of the hill. It is a place where loads of stories can be told about. But what mostly impressed me were the graves of (freed) slaves and the story of governors and the woman who owned the mountain. Besides the naturewalk, you can go in a canoo on the river and they take you to a nice little creek. But the most fun I had was on the canopy between the trees. Although I am a little bit afraid of heights this was an experience I am glad I didn't miss. You have to cross the river once, but because I was scared I'd hit the brakes to late, I stopped to early. And when you stop to soon, you have to pull yourselves forward, which is good the arms, but not when your condition is low/nonexistent;).
