Day 3, Lake Maninjau
Then, we continued our travel to Lake Maninjau. It was about 3 hours to get there. The scenery that I saw was beautiful. All the way was green hills and paddy field. When we arrived and saw the lake, it was about time to see sunset. The lake was beutiful even from the distance. After, we stopped to see the sunset, we continued the journey. We had to pass Kelok 44 (44 u-turns) before we arrived to the lake. We went down and Raya counted down, “44, 43, 42, ..., and at last 3, 2, 1”. We stopped at shop to buy some snacks and then asked people the direction the hotel of “Nuansa Maninjau Resort”. And the answer was... we had to go up through Kelok 44 again, because the hotel was just before all of the u-turns!!! It was already dark and we were all tired but, we were the ones who decide wheter we wanted to be happy or upset. So, we decided to happily go up again and counted, “1, 2, 3, ..., and 44”.
We arrived at the hotel and checked in. We couldn’t see much outside since it was dark. But, the room was big enough for us and comfortable. We had dinner in the room. We had bought Padang cuisine. It was delicious even too spicy for us. After unpacking and cleaning our bodies, we were ready for bed. Nighty night...
