Preparation
June 25, 2008
In two days my friends and I are off to our mini Asian trip. My Chinese friend Xingy, my Danish friend Helena, and I will be in China for a little bit more than 2 weeks then we're off to the Philippines where we're gonna be meeting our Chinese-Danish friend Michael. By the way, we just finished high school, in fact graduation is tomorow. However, we're IB kids, meaning we don't really know if we actually passed until July 6. In the midst of touring China we could be either happy (pass) or really sad (fail).
Either way, we're still gonna have a fun trip :) The only thing that worries me is the weather.
So plan is:
CHINA
We arrive from Hong Kong, thing is all three of us have different flights Helena arrives in the morning, I arrive around 4pm, and Xingy arrives around 5pm.... then we take the bus to Guangzhou, spend a couple of days there, then off to Zhaoqing, and Zhuhai. Then we go back to Hong Kong for some shopping before we're off to the Philippines.
THE PHILIPPINES
We will all meet up in our hotel in Manila inc Michael, thanks to my dear mom who did all our bookings planning our trip to the Philippines was easy :D
After 2 days in Manila, we're off to Boracay. Six days and five nights of paradise and liver destruction. Wohoo. We're allowed to do so since we just graduated :D
From Boracay we will then Fly to Palawan (my hometown), spend a couple of days in Puerto Princessa then we're off to El Nido. From El Nido we'll be dropping by the Underground River (which reminds me, vote for it in the new7wonders!). We might do some island hopping in Honda Bay, but it really depends how much time we have left and how bad the weather is.
However Xingy will be leaving us by the end of July.
While Xingy is on her way back to Michael, Helena, and I will be off to Coron and check out the beuty over there. I'm really excited about this one, I heard it's REALLY beautifull overthere plus it's super cheap.
Anyways, I'm really excited about this trip.. but at the same time I'm spending my last days here in the boarding school. I've spent 3 years of my life here, It's the most years I've settled in one country since I was.... 10? Good/bad memories... ahhh...
But yeah, we all have to move on one day... for a new chapter in our lives.
Anyway, if anyone has any sugesstions on where we should go/places we CAN NOT miss/good restaurants etc... in the places I'm listed above, feel free to leave a comment. It's very much appreciated.
Unitil next time...
