My first day in KC, :)

This was my 1st 24hrs day in KC. I didn’t have
plans for the day, except meeting Mark for dinner. So, what to do? James
decided to take care of me and joined me for the whole day, thanks!!!! It was a
sunny day, and it was pointless doing sightseeing since the whole group would
do it together on Saturday. So, better try something different, hehe. He had a
plan. Before going to our final destination we made a quick stop in front of
the Baseball and NFL Football stadiums. They were close to the hotel, which is
usually packed with players when there are games there. We took some pics and
moved to our second destination.
It was World’s of Fun!!! And how can’t you have fun
there??? It was a Theme Park.
Ok, time to walk around and get something to drink or eat.
James got a huge ice cream and at the beginning I didn’t want to get one, but
he convinced me. I ended having a small one, but with a flavor I haven’t tasted
ever: Birthday Cake! It was yummy and looked so colorful and nice.
We went to a couple of other attractions. These were more
related to water. I was 85% wet after the last one, but it wasn’t too bad,
since the day was really hot. James has been in this park before, but there was
a new rollercoaster: “The Patriot”. It was too much for me. I joined James but
just until the entrance. Sorry, I couldn’t do it. It was too much and I wanted
to be perfect for our meeting with Mark that day later. James took a ride and
enjoyed a lot!!!! I’m glad he did it! James grabbed something to eat and by the
time he was ready and we started to walk again it started raining, so it was
time to leave.
We went back to the hotel. I took a quick shower and get
ready to meet Mark in the city. He organized a welcoming dinner for me, isn’t
he sweet??? He asked me before what kind of food I wanted to taste and arranged
everything. He also contacted other TB’s who live in the city, so we all could
meet. James and I arrived to the place early. It wasn’t even 4:30 and we were
supposed to meet at 5:30, mmm, what to do now? I told James I saw a bar next
door, haha. So, we just moved next door, haha. While we were sitting there
waiting for Mark, I saw some cops standing in the corner. Oh my tradition!!!
Wherever I go, I have to get a pic either with cops or firefighters, hehe.
James & I were having our Grey Goose when Mark came in. I recognized him immediately and was trying to stand up asap to give him a huge hug!!!! We were so happy to meet to each other. He even started talking in Spanish, cool!!!! I had some presents for him and James, the hosts, which I wanted to give before meeting the rest of the people. The current hosts and future one were reunited :) After some chatting, we moved next door to meet the other TB’s.
We went to the Jerusalem Café for some Mediterranean food.
Ok, we went to the oldest building of the city which was
just across the street and was… a Bar, haha, what a surprise, haha!!! We
ordered some beers for our 1st KC toast and were just chilling out
when a lady approached to us wondering what kind of group we are, haha. It was
clear we were just meeting, you know cameras over the table, lot of flashes,
haha. She was part of the squirrel table and told us the story.
Mark, James and I drove a bit around the city. Mark was showing me the places we would visit during the next days. Ok, time to go back to the hotel and relax. A long day weekend was coming and I wanted to be more than ready. The next day I have to check in another hotel with the rest of the gang and will be James’ copilot for some rides to the airport.
Time to close my eyes, shhhhhhhhhhhh
