The Journey Begins

Well who would have thought the airplane from Edmonton to Chicago would be so small that there was only one bathroom for ALL passengers. Here I thought I was going to be treated like royalty and all I got was a cardboard box with dried bagel bits, candied nuts, and strawberry nuggets. Oh! Don't let me forget the jar of jam, the disgusting chocolate filled wafer cookie and the granola bar. No wonder none of the other 5 first class passengers took it. I was trying to get my money's worth so I was going to eat anything they were offering. So the first leg of the trip wasn't exactly what I was expecting.
Then I landed in Chicago and made my way two terminals away (all on my own- no shuttle bus) and asked where I could find the Red Carpet Lounge.
The booze they have here is amazing but since I already had my gin and tonic in the other lounge, I can't drink the champagne or Grand Marnier. If I did they would have to order one of those special carts to drive me onto the plane. Which might not be such a bad idea but it is still very early in the day. Well come to think of it ... I should be on Greece time and I know it would be happy hour there.
So the excitement continues... Stayed tuned for the next entry which will be in about three hours....
