We had a early start by getting up at 5am, as wonderful uncle Richard was driving us to the airport, which saved us a night of sleeping on the Terminal floor!!! A few hours later we found ourselves in the snowy city of Arhus. We had a couple of hours to kill before meeting up with Christian...our friend who came to Australia back in '99 for a school exchange at Forest High....alot of you know him!! So we did some sightseeing around the train station.....hmmmm, which included Johnny being tempted into buying the local hotdog...

Once Christian arrived and we gave hugs all round, we headed to christians 'Penthouse' apartment (well it was in our eyes!!) It was the coolest apartment...we were well impressed! We had a chilled out arvo, basically just enjoying Christians company.

Later on his girlfriend came home- Jannis - but she headed out a bit later on to go out on the town. Whats that again??? Hehehe. Johnny, Christian and I stocked up on drinks from the supermarket downstairs then made a quality home made meal. Burritos! Was a fun night of catching up!

Following morning we were a bit groggy, but had to get up to see the sights. Christian took us into town, firstly to see the Viking museum but it was we strolled up the promonade of shops, shops and more shops. Very tempting but I was good and did'nt go in any of them! We walked up to the local skate rink, Johnny did some filming of the local show get him stacking it! Was quite a laugh. We then headed through the Art Museum an on the Old Town, but diverting to the Pizza shop for a bite to eat.

All I can say is 'outvoted'...! But it was good. Old town was cool, even though we only walked outside the place...but it was still an insight to how Aarhus would have looked back in the day. A stroll trough the park, a bus ride, then home to the penthouse. Not long after we got home some old friends of mine- Stig and Lotti- dropped in to say hi. These guys stayed with us in Australia when I was 16 and when they were a young couple, so was so good to see them again- married with children!!! They brought thier youngest daughter with them -Larke- who was the cutest little thing.

The night continued on with us playing several rounds of King of Beers, then  heading back into town to the 'local'... Australian Steakhouse! They had karaoke on that night, altough I had no interest in sounding like a tortured cat again! Cass...remember South Africa?? hehehe. Was a good night, got home at 3am only to get up a few hours later to get the train to Copenhagen....
