A Good Day Of Fishing

These are some pictures from my annual trip out to Destin with my Dad and cousins. This year we saw the destuction left by the hurricane. We started seeing it as far out as Alabama. We still managed to catch some fish and have a great time.

A Good Day Of Fishing

Me aboard Mike's new boat, the Game On 2.
We headed out and had a great day of fishing. We trolled for a while and caught a few Spanish Mackerel and bonita. Our luck came by chance, the hurricane had moved most of the underwater structures Mike had over the last couple of years. We happened to be on our way to one of these spots when the fishfinder lit up like a Christams tree! We dropped anchor, it was a great, calm, sunny day. We dropped bait and immeadiately started catching 20-30 pound grouper. They were schooling at about 230 feet. As soon as you got one in, unhooked and dropped again, you were yanking another one up! We were drenched and exhausted. No joke. We caught our limit of grouper in about 30 minutes. So we moved on and found some red grouper, red snapper and triggerfish. It was really a good day of fishing. We didn't have anything big enough to weigh in, so we headed back to the house. We washed down the boat, cleaned fish, then hosed ourselves off. Dinner and drinks ensued, planning out the next day and off to bed.
