I took CebuPac's maiden flight to Manila-Tuguegarao. too bad I wasn't the one who checked in first because they gave out free roundtrip tickets. they use the same plane to Caticlan (Based on thier stewardess) that is why the flights are so early. When the plane landed, they served free breakfast and drinks for the passengers, there was also some speech and ribbon cutting ceremonies.
Sta.Ana, Cagayan is around 3-4 hours drive from Tuguegarao. Little has been known on this small fishing village upnorth, but actually there is a World Class Online Casino. Locals claim that you can only enter the facility by invitation, rich chinese frequents the place since there are direct flights from Tuguegarao-Macau.
There are no high-end resort available on the place but you can find a good A/C room for a reasonable price. The place is not yet being touched by tourism since its too far to Manila. But I think due to the fact that CebuPac now flies daily to Cagayan. Resorts will begin sprouting on the location.
The sand of Angib Beach is comparable to Boracay. But the waves are unpredicatable since it faces the point where the current of the Pacific Ocean and South China Sea meets.
Going to Sta. Ana and Palaui island is like going to Boracay and Batanes combined, less the party and commercial district. too bad I wasn't able to go to the light house (Cape Engaño). A must for travellers who seek serenity, silence and tranquility.
