roadtrip!

I can’t even begin to tell you how often we’ve made this place our overnight stop. Every time we head for Colorado we stop here. Partly because of convenience, it’s always night fall when we get to Raton. It is also the town just before the mountain pass into Colorado. So for safety reasons we always make this town and this hotel for that matter our stop. We wouldn’t stop each an every time however if it was a bad place. Not a luxury hotel by any means, but it suits our purpose. It is a nice, clean, quiet, safe, and affordable place to stay the night. They offer the standard continental breakfast in the morning and the staff has always been courteous. No complaints from us! The best thing about spending the night here is the next morning we get up, and get to see the breathtaking mountain pass by daylight! Unfortunately, since it’s always at night and I am usually tired from the very long road trip thru Texas I always forget to take a picture of the place ! Sorry I will try to remember next time!
