Post cards from Texas.
Texas is the only country in the world that became a state! Texas is my home State although I was born in California I got here as soon as I could (3 days old). Texas is the second largest State in the Union (USA) with only Alaska being bigger but Texas also has more roads than any State and is the second largest population with 25.1 million people with 268,820 square miles (696,200 km2) of land. The name came from the Caddo tribe word Tejas, means Friends or allies.
Did you know that Texas sold part of its land when it became a State, parts of Oklahoma and Colorado was Texas!
Texas has its own beaches, forests, deserts, plains, lakes, swamps and massive rivers like the Rio Grande River. Yes we have mountains too!
